Bring in the Clowns
Brigitte Martin, the curator of Luke and Eloy gallery in Lawrenceville and fine jewelry artist, will be featured in an invitational group show at Museo Langley in Langley, WA in March.
Martin was invited by the show’s curator to submit a piece of art that fits the theme of the show “Wire We Here”. The show has a light-hearted circus theme and focuses on wire. They were looking for colorful mixed media pieces.
Coincidentally, Martin had just finished making a sterling silver ring with a miniature figurine of a little boy holding a fish and looking at a sandcastle, all encompassed in a little silver disk. The whimsical, colorful piece, which doubles as a whistle, seemed to put Martin in the right mindset to create a collection of similar rings with clown
themes.
These light-hearted humorous rings will be sent to Museo Langley for the show which lasts through the month of March.
